OK.... guys... 2 questions from a newbie....

1. When I insert the aneros (Helix Syn), should i feel it pressing on my prostate? (I can't feel anything on there but have been dabbling with anal play for a while and I'm wondering if a Progasm or Maximus might be a better fit!?)

2. When I'm relaxing into my meditative state (I've meditated for a few years so this bit should be quite simple for me) do I think about things that arouse me or just relax?

Any advice appreciated!!

@meatandpotatoes

It is touching your prostate, but it is a gentler model with a smaller head. Here's the deal: during a highly aroused session your prostate will leak all kinds of joy and swell up larger. You will most definitely feel even a smaller toy at that stage. Yes, a Progasm or Maximus will be felt more right away, and even MORE when your prostate swells. When that happens, you better let the neighbors know not to call the police because you will be screaming and crying with pleasure.

You'll get many answers to the meditative question, but I encourage you to think of nothing. AND think of things that turn you on. Try different things! For me, just focussing my attention on my body's pleasures gives me the best results. Sometimes, stimulating thoughts distract me from the cool things that are trying to happen in my body.

@meatandpotatoes Good questions! And welcome to Aneros! I have (among others) the smallest prostate massager: the HIH 950. In fact, I had a quick session with it this morning; I awoke highly aroused. But believe me, I felt it! So don't worry about the "fit". The feelings may be vague and not too specific for you at first, but in time you will definitely feel more.

Regarding meditation and arousal, I would agree with RoJackSYN Just relax and do nothing! Sometimes, your mind will be drawn-into a sexual fantasy: go with it and feel the prostate pleasures. They can get fairly intense! Prostate stimulation is not at all like masturbation. You don't perform "X" and "Y" (rubbing/stroking) and get "Z" (ejaculation). It is much more subtle with the prostate as you will learn. To try to force a prostate orgasm would be counter-productive. You should be aroused at the start of a session to get the most from it; go slowly at first and let it build. Good luck to you!

Another newbie here. Bought a Helix Syn yesterday...rushed home to try it. Nothing at first...then after 20 mins I started feeling a really nice sensation that is really kind of hard to describe. It's subtle but really a good feeling. I also only felt it when I was totally calm and not trying to get aroused. I had been looking at porn online but the best feeling came when i closed my eyes and just concentrated on this subtle but really nice feeling. I was even groaning and didn't realize it. It kept going until the phone rang and kind of ruined the whole building sensation i was getting. Can't wait until next time.

1. When I insert the aneros (Helix Syn), should i feel it pressing on my prostate?

Not necessarily, as @goldenboy & @editman323 noted the feelings/sensations generated by the gentle massage action of your Aneros device are subtle and a bit vague especially for new users. Many men simply report they feel an urge to urinate which is also an indicator of positive contact with your prostate. As you become more familiar and experienced you will come to accept this level of intensity as a typically identifying characteristic. As you learn to focus on these subtle sensations they will cycle over time building to orgasmic levels.

2. When I'm relaxing into my meditative state ... do I think about things that arouse me or just relax?

That is totally up to you! RoJackSYN says "... think of nothing.", @goldenboy agrees. I think you can use your meditative focus on those subtle sensations and combined with positive affirmations accelerate their growth rate to orgasmic levels. Additionally, your meditative discipline allows you to quickly discard distractive thoughts which tend to disrupt the pleasure wave phenomenon.
Good Vibes to You !
